They come with 2,3 or 4 cylinders.
Some are air-cooled, others water-cooled.
Some have direct injection systems, others indirect.
With the introduction of the Alpha Turbo 4, their power range now goes all the way up to 55bhp.
Yet, thanks to their ingenious modular design, all the engines have a high degree of parts commonality, simplifying maintenance and reducing parts inventories.
With Alpha you get much more than just an engine.
For a start, there is a wide range of different accessories, from air cleaners and radiators to exhaust systems and deep sumps, all factory-fitted.
With our applications engineering support, you can specify a unique build customized to meet your specification, your performance requirements and your installation needs. As a result, your engines can be supplied as a complete ready to install package, on a flexible delivery schedule to drop straight into your production line. It doesn't stop there. Our after sales support is just as well engineered as our engines. Our reliability is legendary, but we still give every engine a full twelve-month warranty and one of the best sales, service and parts networks in the world.
We'll even train your own maintenance engineers on one of our factory-based courses.

The Alpha Series is designed and built by Lister-Petter, in one of Europe's most technologically advanced diesel engine manufacturing plants at Dursley, Gloucestershire in the South West of England.
A member of the BTR Group, the company has made massive investments in recent years, and computer-aided design and manufacturing techniques and flexible manufacturing systems are now widely used.
Total control of the whole production process, from casting in our state-of-the-art foundry, to the final performance testing of every single engine, helps ensure a level of quality that meets or exceeds the highest international standards.
While our Research & Development and test facilities can replicate virtually any working conditions to enable our engines to meet the toughest performance, climate or environmental demands.
Lister-Petter Inc., from its base in Olathe, Kansas is responsible for the sales and marketing of the Alpha Series throughout the Western Hemisphere, part of a sales and service network that extends to nearly 1000 distributors in over 150 countries worldwide. |
